Overheard

At the dinner table. Lily was being a monster handful, Ben was hysterical, and the dog was having some kind of panic attack as a result.

Dingle: "Disobedience is contagious...I think we have a mutiny on our hands."

In the car on the way to Maine. Lily was talking to herself and something she said made me chuckle.

Me: "We have funny kids."
Dingle. "We have one kid who alternates between funny and angry and another kid who alternates between sleeping and angry. If anything we have angry kids."
